In 1973, Jim Sr. and Bonnie Raver moved their family from Indianapolis to Louisville to pursue a new business opportunity and founded what is now Fireplace Distributors Inc. Officially opening on July 1, 1973, the company began by supplying fireplaces to local builders and remodelers throughout the Louisville area.
